This market will resolve to the first word of the first post of @realDonaldTrump on X/Twitter which contains non-link words in the text of the tweet and is posted between the creation of this market and the end of 2023.

The tweet can be accompanied by any picture/video/link/etc, but this market ignores these factors. Replies and quote tweets are eligible, though obviously ignoring the text of the tweet being quoted or replied to. Retweets are not eligible. This market also ignores any rebrands or tweet/post/xeet/etc technicalities.

More edge cases:

  • Any duplicate answers will be ignored in favor of the original submitted answer.

  • Contractions are valid unique words, so "I'm back" resolves to "I'm" and not "I".

  • Non-english words are allowed, and resolve to their non-english form.

  • Punctuation is ignored, including hashtags. "#MAGA" resolves to "MAGA".

  • Emoji don't count, or any other non-word unicode characters. No numbers, unless they are spelled out. "One" is valid, "1" is not.

  • Typos are allowed, so "covfefe" is a valid answer.

If there is no eligible tweet in 2023, this market resolves to --no eligible tweet in 2023--.

I will not trade in this market.

Are numbers ignored?

Unless he spells out the number, I think it would be ignored. That's been asked twice now so I'll update the OP.

@Joshua Yeah, we asked at the same time :)

What about incorrect words like covfefe? Not likely that someone would guess it, but the question is: will you resolve to "Other" in such a case or to a first correct word?

Covfefe is valid.

@Joshua Got it. Just saw the edit. It answers the question.

@cloudprism five star rules lawyering, but clearly too broad even if that is a valid loophole. How do people feel about allowing emoji answers as long as they're a specific emoji? I think that might be fair.

Edit: I've decided to ban emoji along with other non-word characters.

@Joshua in the interest of being fully comprehensive ahead of time, hashtags are also something that can appear in tweets

Good point! I can edit the main post to address that too, I think that the general rule I have in mind is that punctuation is ignored and this question resolves to the word itself. So if he tweets "#MAGA - Make America Great Again" this resolves to "MAGA" and not "#MAGA" or "Make".

I like the emoji loophole but I think i probably should disallow those along with any punctuation.

@Joshua What about numbers? What about various other unicode characters? He might write a word in Sumerian cuneiform.

If Trump becomes multi-lingual I will applaud him and resolve to whatever non-english word he tweets first. I think any non-word characters are ignored. Though it's very funny to imagine his next tweet being (╯°□°)╯︵ ┻━┻
