Does a resolution ending the speaker pro tem position entirely count? Like electing a speaker? Or is only having a different speaker pro tem sufficient?

@DanPowell only a vote similar to McCarthy's vote, to remove McHenry as speaker pro tempore.

E.g. If McHenry works with democrats to pass a bipartisan bill, Gaetz tries to remove McHenry through a vote.

Would not resolve yes, if they elect a speaker.

This would be the dumbest move, idk if it’s even possible to do, and for those reasons I’m in

This would be peak chaos.

Please define the terms a bit more clearly. A "motion to vacate" isn't a specific defined thing, although when there was a regular elected Speaker the press had defined it as roughly "a resolution causing a vacancy in the office of Speaker". But the office of Speaker is already vacant. What resolution would qualify? Also, what does "there is a motion to vacate" mean -- it is introduced? Voted upon? Raised as a question of privilege?
