I work in software as a QA Engineer, most recently at the Sr. level. I am currently between jobs, and am looking for a new fully remote position (or one in Columbus).
Will I, as a direct result of this market, do at least one of the following in regard to a real job opportunity that I see as at least somewhat promising, before market close?
Apply for a job I didn't already know about
Get on a call with someone to discuss a potential job
Send a message to a person/company to learn more about an opening
Additionally, if this market causes me to take some other concrete action that I wouldn't have otherwise that seems like it could help me get a job, I reserve the right to resolve YES, even if it's not listed above. (I don't have something in mind, but feel free to make suggestions if you do)
My LinkedIn is here: https://www.linkedin.com/in/jamesthomashays/
I will only bet NO (to subsidize), and will not sell NO. I will not place any additional bets if there's at least one person meeting both of these criteria:
they have indicated to me an action they have taken that they think could cause the market to resolve YES, and
they currently hold a YES position of at least 100 shares
Market can resolve early if condition is met early.
I'm actively searching job boards, so Googling the job title and dropping a link to a job you know little about in the comments is unlikely to lead to YES. More likely to resolve YES would be if you can help me make a networking connection, such as knowing there is an opening in your own company or that of a friend's company.
I value work-life balance, and ideally would find a company open to 80% time/4-day workweek.

I know several people at IXL Learning and am told the WLB is very good. I could probably (maybe) put you in touch with one of them? I believe they're hiring for QA infra eng.
@DanStoyell Thanks for the lead! I should have mentioned that I’m either looking for something in Columbus, where I live, or a fully remote position. I wasn’t able to find a QA position currently listed on IXL’s site (though maybe they have an opening and just haven’t posted it yet?), but the other eng jobs I see on their board have all been hybrid jobs in California, so I probably won’t apply with them for that reason.
