Resolution criteria

This market will resolve to YES if LeBron James signs an official contract to play for any of his former NBA franchises for the 2026–27 NBA season.

For the purpose of this market, his former franchises are defined as:

• Cleveland Cavaliers

• Miami Heat

• Los Angeles Lakers

This market will resolve to NO if he signs with any other NBA franchise (such as the Philadelphia 76ers or Golden State Warriors), officially announces his retirement, or does not sign with any NBA team for the 2026–27 season by the trade deadline of the 2026–27 regular season.

Additional Conditions:

• Sign-and-Trade: If LeBron James is acquired by a team via a sign-and-trade agreement, the market will resolve based on the destination team (the team he is traded to) rather than the team that initially signed him to facilitate the transaction.

• Sources: Resolution will be determined by official announcements from NBA.com, or verified reporting from major sports news outlets such as ESPN or The Athletic.

Following the conclusion of the 2025–26 NBA season, LeBron James became an unrestricted free agent after informing the Los Angeles Lakers that he would not return. During July 2026, his agency Klutch Sports has reportedly fielded interest from across the league. While multiple contenders have pursued the 41-year-old superstar, media speculation has prominently linked James to reunions with two of his former teams: the Cleveland Cavaliers (where he played from 2003–2010 and 2014–2018) and the Miami Heat (where he played from 2010–2014).
