@Peilbeo guy sprints unreliably compared to last year
cares absolute jackshit about the intermediate sprints
and any sprint should be nailed on bunchsprint or at least with Philipsen also competing
@Peilbeo also his wife is expecting a baby anytime and he has said that he will not finish the tour if that happens
WvA might have to leave early:
I sold my Wout shares as he's recently said he's aiming for stage wins, not the green jersey. https://velo.outsideonline.com/road/road-racing/tour-de-france/velo-tour-de-france-ticker-trek-team-to-become-lidl-trek-ahead-of-race-bahrain-victorious-switches-kits/
@JakeEatonc5e2 He will still ride to support his GC leaders. Giving him access to intermediate sprint points Philipsen can't get.
Last year he completely bossed the competition whilst trying. It just takes a little more than not caring at all for him to have a shot at it.
@Checktaschu Biggest threats are him not caring for sprints. Which could only happen if he rides leadout for Laporte or TJV don't contest sprints at all.
And potentially abandoning the race early.
@Checktaschu green jersey self sabotage might also happen, if they alternate sprint stages or something
