Must occur after each party has selected their nominee but before Election Day.

Any debate organized by the CPD counts, as does any organized event that is commonly referred to as a "debate" in the media.

Does not necessarily need to be in person so long as there is some degree of real-time interaction between candidates and is still referred to in the media as a "debate".

Must last at least fifteen continuous minutes with both candidates participating (e.g. on stage together or otherwise present).

Both candidates must each say at least 200 words total.

The debate may have other participants.

The debate must be broadcast or otherwise publicly accessible in some way.
