Resolved
YES

This resolves YES iff all iPhone models that are announced in September 2023 (according to the date in the "announced" column of this table):

1) contain exactly one charging port;

2) that charging port is a USB-C port.

For example, if the USB-C port is present only in the Pro iPhone models, this would resolve NO.

Following today's Apple event, I expect this will resolve YES. However, in keeping with the original formulation of the question, I will only resolve it at the beginning of October. I think that's the fairest thing to do. (Open to hear dissenting opinions, though.)

Next time I'll probably frame the question as referring specifically to Apple's iPhone event, conditionally on one being held. Lesson learned!

When the company introduces the iPhone 15 on Sept. 12, USB-C connectors will appear on its four new phone models, as well as the AirPods Pro, and Apple will describe it as a major win for customers.
