Resolution criteria
This market resolves to YES if, by the resolution date specified by the market creator, Jensen Huang personally faces formal legal consequences in connection with the alleged espionage or "honeypot" controversy involving Alice Huang (Huang Le) and Megaspeed.
For the purposes of this market, "legal consequences" are defined as:
An official criminal indictment, criminal charge, or arrest brought against Jensen Huang personally by a federal, state, or international law enforcement body (e.g., the U.S. Department of Justice).
A formal civil enforcement action, settlement, or administrative penalty personally levied against or agreed to by Jensen Huang by a government regulatory agency (such as the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission or the Department of Commerce).
This market resolves to NO if no such formal charges, personal civil penalties, or legal actions are officially initiated against Jensen Huang personally by the cutoff date.
Clarifications and edge cases:
Congressional committee requests to testify, voluntary briefings, or subpoenas alone do not qualify as legal consequences unless they lead to formal criminal charges (such as contempt of Congress).
Civil lawsuits or regulatory sanctions filed exclusively against Nvidia as a corporate entity do not count unless Jensen Huang is individually named and held liable or personally sanctioned.
Resolution will be determined using official government court records, formal filings, or statements published directly on official agency websites (such as justice.gov or sec.gov).
Background
In late 2026, reports from The New York Times and the Financial Times revealed that U.S. intelligence officials assessed that Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang had been targeted in a suspected Chinese intelligence operation involving Alice Huang (Huang Le), an executive at Singapore-based Megaspeed. Megaspeed had been under electronic surveillance by U.S. authorities over allegations that it helped funnel export-controlled Nvidia AI semiconductors to China. Following the news, House Republican committee chairs requested Huang appear for closed-door briefings regarding national security concerns. Nvidia spokespeople have dismissed allegations of impropriety, stating that interactions with Megaspeed were routine customer relations and that no proprietary or classified information was compromised.
