Mark has stated that they're trying to get banned from Manifold, and appears to be a troll. However, many of their comments seem like they might be legitimate attempts to engage in good-faith dicsusion, though they could also be subtle trolling.
Resolves N/A if Mark gets banned or quits the site.
I won't bet in this market.
Can someone ban this clown @MarkIngraham ? @ManifoldMarkets ? Is there any criteria for reporting a user, not just their comment? Literally a troll and ruins discussions on all markets this account participates in, and spams false info everywhere. Every single user I've seen interacting with this person ends up coming away frustrated and irritated because of the spam and troll behavior.
A recent example of nonsense is the comments on this page. Which is the most polite conversation I've seen this account participate in. This does not make manifold appealing when trolls like this continue their propagation freely.
@Messi Interesting - this market may have resolved improperly, given that it’s intended to resolve n/a in the event of a ban. Maybe there’s some leeway in light of the fact that it’s not a permaban.
@JohnSmithb9be You are quite correct!
" Resolves N/A if Mark gets banned or quits the site."
Hence, Impropoer resolution. I advise you to try betting here to maximize your potential profits :
For incorrect isaac resolution free mana:
For mark ban:
Oh, that's a little awkward. I didn't know about the ban when I blocked them. (Looks like the ban only happened about 20 minutes ago.)
The N/A clause was intended for the situation where I no longer had a reason to block them since they couldn't comment anyway, and that clearly doesn't apply here. But I didn't say that in the description.
Do people feel this was incorrect?
@IsaacKing If I ban you from Conference Room A, you’re not banned from the building. If I ban you from commenting, you’re not banned from Manifold as a whole.
In your opinion, does his creation of troll markets count as a reason to block him?
@IsaacKing yeahhh hastily resolved but it's ok, we understand what was supposed to be the resolution as well as why it could potentially be incorrect. Thankfully no one lost mana here because of the resolution so i wouldn't call it a problem even if incorrect resoltuon
Does Mark prefer gender neutral pronouns, or is it now common practice to assume that someone prefers neutral pronouns(<5%) rather than assuming that a chosen and heavily gender-correlating username is matched with its usual gender. Please read this with no agenda or snark. If this is universally accepted and recommended practice in some parts, or if Mark prefers "they", I'd truly be thankful for links that helped me understand. I'm writing this from Samarkand.
@KennethMyers This use of "they" is similar to "he or she" - it is a generic pronoun that works for a person of any gender, just like how they is used in the plural to refer to groups of people of any genders.
@KennethMyers It's not particularly common, I just do it anyway. I don't see any good reason for gendered pronouns to exist.

@IsaacKing I feel like there might be one, statistically speaking, but the presence of one helpful comment is akin to pissing in the ocean.
