My partner is a professional digital artist. At the beginning of April 2023, will she feel that AI-generated artwork has noticeably reduced her ability to make money creating art?

Very curious why this trended down over the course of the market despite no new information coming to light.

@IsaacKing Maybe because you chose to give an update 3 months ago, so people felt in some sense that you were keeping it up to date. The longer it went without an update the more relevant the last update seemed. That’s my guess anyway

@IsaacKing it didn't feel like there was a massive paradigm shift in image generation since your last comment and I assumed that you or your partner could extrapolate.c

@JimHays Or to put a finer point on that, since the the prior state was business as usual, an explicit update was more likely to be "It's no longer business as usual" (i.e., an effect of AI-generated artwork) than "It continues to be business as usual," making this the normal sort of asymmetric event market that trends downward until the deadline.

She might not feel, but her ability would be reduced, unless she will switch to making art 'with' AI

Haven't heard any complaints from her yet.

Can you elaborate on the kind of art she does?
