To me it is a feeling. And if it was located anywhere it would be a black hole swallowing all joy. Located in the stomach
@Anders556d agree, "a hole" undersells it. It's a mine shaft, a crater, a sarlac's mouth, a bottomless pit of emptyness that's opening up in the abdomen
