@traders Noting that this question originally closed on Jan 9, 2023, I'm reopening it until someone comes up with good evidence for it having been over or ongoing as of that date.

Make your case for resolution in the comments, hopefully the open market will encourage someone to write up the answer so we don't have to resolve N/A! If there isn't a good answer by the (new) close time I'll resolve N/A.

@EvanDaniel I think the market's question is too vague, especially because it didn't have a solid time frame; the market was open for one day! There was more mrgirl drama in March but without a timeframe there is no way to tell if that should count. I would just n/a it.

@EvanDaniel I think that the answer at this point is pretty clearly yes. There has been no mention of Mr Girl on stream in almost a year. He is only ever talked about in the past tense, such as in this thread from 9 days ago.

The only way the "saga" could continue is if Destiny started interacting with him again but I think that it's fair to say that after a year of no contact, it would probably be more fair to call it a new saga.

@BenAdams keep in mind this market was made a year ago and originally closed a year ago. So you would have to answer the question from this perspective.

@Agh yeah, I'm kinda inclined to think the answer is "no one actually knew at the time, but we know in retrospect". But the criteria were super vague and it isn't clear when we need to know by our how certain we had to be.

I'm inclined to resolve N/A.

But also I'm not a Destiny viewer and am trying to avoid making assumptions.

@EvanDaniel I think that the fact we know the answer in retrospect should not prevent answering yes. Yes, after all that was the whole reason that the resolution criteria was extended.

@traders It seems the creator is inactive. Does anyone want to make a case for a resolution one way or the other? Citations appreciated.

• if this is a proper prediction and you want to run it longer – extend the deadline, add some resolution criteria (e.g. he appears on stream before date X), and reopen.
