Several animal groups, including cetaceans, corvids, cephalopods, and primates, have complex communication systems that some have argued meet linguistic criteria for language.

This market will resolve to YES if a non human animal communication system is fully or partially translated to any human language by January 1st 2030, and no otherwise.

The definition of translation here is inevitably very subjective, but for some clarity translation in this market means translating concepts from an animal communication system to any human language to an extent that goes substantially beyond animal communication work that has already occurred before the creation of this market, such as Jane Goodall's work.

I probably won't be active here during 2030, so mods have full permission to resolve for me, and this market probably will not resolve unless a mod does so. The market is set to close on January 1st 2030.
