I checked my email and at 5:17 the hiring manager sent me a meeting invite for tomorrow for a follow up.

My bet is it is good news.

Big changes were announced in my area and they are opening the manager role for the team I am on now (so I and the other Sr can apply). Problem is the other Sr is the temp manager because I am "too busy" with current initiatives. So I'll have less experience than the only other person.

What does this mean?

If I'm offered this role that I interviewed for, I no longer have any doubts that I am taking it. I'm not about to fight an uphill battle when I have a sure thing lined up.

I should know by Monday if i am the successful candidate for the role tagged to this question.

I see this only resolves yes if you are both offered and accept. Under what circumstances would you not accept?

@shankypanky there is a 0% chance of me not accepting the offer. My current boss was saying they may open something up, but without anything concrete then i don't care tbh.

So if I get the offer, I'll accept it.

2nd interview when really really well. It was with the director and the hiring manager this time. Looking good, im pretty confident, but I am still managing expectations.

Get hype boyos. Got the 2nd interview.

Still tapering my expectations, but I am estimating 60-80% chance I get the offer.

My manager did hint that other opts are coming in my area, but I need and want a change, so if I get the offer, I 95% will take it (baring a like last minute offer to put me into another role in my current area, which is like next to 0 chance HR can work that fast).

How did you feel during the interview? Did they ask your for references?

@DanielRohrer it's an internal role so they have direct contact with my leader.

I feel I had great answers for the questions and what I do now meshes really well with what they do. However, the manager has a great poker face so I'm not quite sure how I did. She said there would be a follow up in two weeks if I advance to that.

The role is a lateral move and I have the education that the manager is actively doing now.
