Some geology research has suggested that the Rocky Mountains had high, elevated topography about 50 million years ago (See Mix et al., 2011 or Mulch et al., 2007). This market will resolve to YES if a review of the literature indicates that the range had elevated topography at this time.

Specifically, I will define, "elevated" Rocky Mountain topography as having average elevations of ≥ 3.5 km 50 million years ago, at the approximate location of 45°N, -113°W. After market close, I will ask the leading LLM (or whatever is the most intelligent AI I have access to) to review the evidence and provide a fair resolution to this market. If possible, I will also have it read and evaluate all the available papers on this topic.
