Resolution criteria

This market will resolve to "Yes" if I secure a data engineer position by December 31, 2025. Verification will be based on my personal confirmation of employment in such a role.

Background

I have previous experience as a data engineer and am currently working as a Site Reliability Engineer (SRE). To transition back into data engineering, I am pursuing the Azure Data Fundamentals certification (DP-900) and learning about the AWS data platform. The DP-900 certification covers core data concepts, relational and non-relational data, and analytics workloads on Azure. (learn.microsoft.com)

Considerations

The demand for data engineers remains strong, with many organizations investing in data infrastructure and analytics capabilities. My prior experience, combined with the new certifications and skills I am acquiring, should enhance my prospects of securing a data engineering role within the specified timeframe.

@Gugra Congratulations!!!

Great news! I had my final interview with a major company today, and I’m feeling very optimistic. They mentioned that Monday is the deadline for their decision on whether I get the job or not.

update after studying a bit I am now consistently scoring over 90% on the practice test for the dp 900 certification test

will try the actual test in the following weeks, didn't apply to a lot of jobs this week thinking of finishing the cert before continuing .

Had an interview yesterday, but I'm not feeling great about how it went. If I land this new data engineering role, I might post my LinkedIn or something similar here. I'm really driven to get this job because my current one has us working six days a week, with Saturdays often stretching beyond 10 hours. I'm motivated, but finding time to prep and study is tough.
