Pokémon Scarlet and Violet were released last week to the worst user scores in franchise history. The chief complaint is with the game engine itself, which suffers from camera clipping, stuttering and memory leaks. Game Freak will almost certainly release some kind of patch, but it's not clear how much performance is salvagable.

Option resolves as a "yes" if, by the end of 2022, normal users are able to play Pokémon Scarlet and Violet at consistent 30 fps, without resorting to hacks like hardware overclocks or resetting the game every hour. Else, option resolves as "no."
