The UK prime minister has "pledged" to reduce inflation to 5% by the end of the year. Will this happen?

I'll resolve YES if it ever drops below 5%. Otherwise I'll wait until the December figures come out (17 January 2024) and resolve based on those. Resolves NO if the published figure is 5.0%.
