NO

Will Max Verstappen start in pole position at the main race on sunday? Usually done through qualifying as fastest in Q3 qualifying, but if he is #2 and the #1 gets a penalty, this will also count for YES.

As this is a market based on an objective fact, I may bet in it.

Sainz did qualify in #1, and there's news the incident with him is not being investigated, which would make Max #2, and this go to NO.

@Fedor Where is the report it’s not being investigated?

predictedYES

ah well, looks like your right, Sky is reporting it’s not investigated further. Unlucky ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

@mxlje Yeah, bought a bunch of No myself whilst it was still being investigated, that was a bit overcommiting, could have gone very wrong

I think you should clarify what pole means here. Let's say Max is fastest in qualifying but then gets a 5 position penalty and starts the race at p5. How will you resolve the market?

@AnishaZaveri Good point. Is this about the start position tomorrow no matter how he gets there, or the finish today?

predictedYES

@AnishaZaveri In that case it would resolve no, if he gets a penalty and doesn't start in 1st place tomorrow it'd be NO.
Conversely, if he gets 2nd but the 1st place gets a penalty and so he starts 1st tomorrow that would resolve YES.
