By close date. So far as I've been able to figure out, text neck actually has an extremely beneficial effect on posture, vastly more so than walking without weights. Computer mouse use, on the other hand, is precisely the opposite, as the body doesn't have to do any work to lift a mouse. Texting also forces people into a more natural position of the shoulder than walking without weights, which gives the arms nothing to do. The caveat is that it increases elbow pain.
