Social media platform X, formerly known as Twitter, is launching an early version of video and audio calling for some users, according to chief technology officer and owner Elon Musk, as the billionaire pushes for X to become an "everything app".

@TheBayesian Trustworthy users have the power to resolve markets when the creator is inactive. I promise it will resolve Yes promptly if it is determined to be a Yes. I have been trying to search for someone who publishes an actual article (not Tweets) about this 'feature' to have some kind of proof that it is Yes and not just a misunderstanding.

@Eliza Makes sense, thank you. When I got on X there was a thing saying ‘we are adding video calls to X’ or something, so knew this would most likely resolve yes. But the two markets keep having a few % apart, ig there’s not that much money in aligning them? Idk

I do not think Elon Musk will provide a voice and video call feature before 2024 but rather the start of 2024. According to the abc news, Elon Musk plans to provide voice and video call services. However it does not give a specific timeline as to when this will be launched (Associated Press, 2023). According to the graph above as of the 23rd of october at 12pm, there is a 26% chance that twitter/x will provide voice and video call services before 2024. This means that there are more people that think Twitter will not provide these services. this could be because of the timeline.

An article by Forbes News also highlights that Elon Musk released a teased video about x to change twitter to an "everything app". There was also no launch date in this video. However, there is a probability that it might come out sometime next year as he released the video this year (Ray,2023). Musk also released this tease video since August yet has not introduced the feature yet (Ray,2023).

They already are doing voice/video for streaming, its just a matter of sending the stream to a single user instead of everyone at once.
