I play soccer. I like to believe I am decent at it, but I have a terrible goal count. To motivate myself, I am creating a market for this season. Will I score more than three goals this season? (9 games)

League information:

  • 7 v 7. Intermediate co-ed. Min 2 women on field (I usually play the whole game)

  • I play on two teams. There are 5 games left in one (calendar), and 4 games left in the other one (calendar). Not counting the games I'll miss because of travel.

  • This only counts for the regular season (doesn't count playoffs).

  • Two halfs of 25min

Background:

  • I've played soccer in high school. Stopped during college, and picked it up again a year ago

  • I've been playing this same leage for a year now. I scored 0 goals the first four seasons. Scored 2 goals on the last season (between two teams)

  • I usually play wing or forward.

Market resolves on Feb 15.

Unfortunately the last two games of the season got cancelled. One was forfeit by the other team, the other one we forfeit because we didn't have enough numbers (guess Valentine's day is more important than soccer for some people :/). Playing playoffs next week, but that doesn't count

First goal scoared! Scored the third goal on a 3-1 win on the last 5 minutes. We were winning only by 1, and needed the win to make it for playoffs. Had 2-3 shots on goal saved by the goalie.

Big incentive was my parents and boyfriend watching the game.

Got 3 games left, and 3 goals. Now that the net is broken, will I do it?

First goal scored!!

Last week update (2 games). Still no goals. Had goal assists and great passes, but still cannot find the net :/

@EmiliaPaz I still think you can do this. Is it the only thing that is on your mind when you are on the pitch? Assists are crucial. Sometimes if you are just zen and in the moment the ball will just fall to your feet and if you remove that stress of scoring, you will find the opportunity becomes just that. An opportunity. Not a must do, just a chance. And if it is a matter of taking the shot or crossing it for someone else in position, do what is best for the team at that time.

First two games, no goals. 3 shots on goal, missed a couple other good opportunities. 2 assists

Not bad for playing after 1 month of break. Also played against the top team, so there are good goal matchups coming up

Note: first game we won because the other team didn't show up. I played with another team who needed one more girl. Im counting that game, since I didn't play a scheduled one

I've got full faith in you here, I think you're on a linear path to scoring 4 goals this season
