On December 31st I left my Kindle at gate G11. I was catching flight UA1681 from SFO to LAX at around 6pm. I was reading it at the terminal and must have put it on the seat when my group number was recalled.

I don't recall using it on the plane at all. That's why I'm 95% confident it was left at the gate.

Will I ever get it back?

United lost and found is responsible for lost items on planes and gates. I've submitted a claim. They said I would get updates every 2, 3, 15, and 30 days. After 30 days they will close the report if still now found. I'll comment whenever I get these updates.

If they close the report as unfound or 60 days (March 4, 2026 at midnight PT) have passed without my Kindle, I'll resolve this to NO.

If I get back my Kindle, I'll resolve this to YES.
