To my knowledge, no WT teams have used pedal based power meters team-wide in 2023.
There is a reported issue with Shimano's crank-based power meters that causes inaccurate power measurements.
I wonder if any teams sponsored by Shimano might (openly or secretly) switch to using a pedal based power meter in road races in 2024. (Teams not sponsored by Shimano are also eligible! Just those are the ones that made me think of the question.)
This question covers the 2024 calendar year. In order to resolve Yes, bring proof of *more than one rider* using a pedal based PM, in *more than one road race*. So if one rider on a team uses the pedal PM all season, but no other riders are ever seen with one, that is not enough. If an entire squad uses power meters in one race but cannot be found in any other races, that is also not enough.
ITT does not count for the purpose of this question, nor does any other discipline like track, gravel, MTB, CX, etc.
If someone provides convincing proof that this question would have resolved Yes for the 2023 calendar year, I will probably leave it open until the 2024 proof is satisfied.
