This concerns only the 2024 UCI season, which ends at the conclusion of the final UCI WorldTour race, probably in October 2024. Only individual time trials count.
Riders participating in time trials will be awarded points on the following scale:
First place earns the full stated points. Second place earns half points.
World Championship ITT: 6 points
Olympics ITT: 5 points
Tour de France ITT: 4 points
Other World Tour ITT, European Championship ITT: 3 points
.Pro ITT: 2 points
.1 ITT: 1 point
No other ITT events are eligible for points. Third place or below scores zero points.
Prologues score the same as stages called time trials.
Yes, a rider who participates in more ITTs will have a higher chance of scoring more.
Ask questions if you need any help. I can add more names if you think I forgot someone important, which is very possible.
By my count:
Remco 6(Worlds)+5(Olympics)+4(Tour)+3(Dauphine)+2(Algarve)=20 points
Pogi 4(Tour)+3(Giro)=7
Kung 3(Vuelta)
Affini 3(European)
Tarling 1(O Gran Camino)
Ganna, WvA, Foss: 0
There are no more ITT left (at least from .Pro, World Tour and European Tour) for someone to catch up, so @Eliza I think this market can resolve.
just realized that you put in the description that second place earns half points. Pogi gets 2 more for Tour and 1.5 for Giro. Kung 1.5 for European. Tarling 1.5 for Dauphine.
and I missed 3 points for Ganna for one 1st place in Giro, and now 1.5 for second place in Giro and 1.5 for 2nd place in Tirreno.
I still think Remco wins by a large margin.
@egroj I never would have guessed one rider would be SO dominant. It's nice when a market has a very clear winner.
