Does the existence of a light sterile neutrino explain (or meaningfully contribute to the explanation of) any experimental neutrino anomalies in 2022 (LSND, MiniBooNE, GALLEX/SAGE/BEST, Neutrino-4)?

Resolves yes if a scientific consensus is formed around a "yes" answer, and no if a scientific consensus is formed around a "no" answer. A consensus could be indicated by a variety of talks or papers on the topic.

There are many more advanced experiments being developed to address this question (for example, SBN, JSNS^2, IsoDAR), so I believe the scientific community will likely have enough information to come to a consensus sometime in the coming decade (it's possible it could take longer though).

Note that sterile neutrinos with very small mixing angles would be excessively hard to detect, and therefore their existence may never be definitively resolved, which is why they are not considered in this market, which only considers masses and mixing angles consistent with an experimental anomaly.
