I play in a casual women’s 7-a-side league. I usually play in defence or midfield. I’m not very good. Last season, I didn’t score a single goal. Will my fortune change this year? I really want to score at least one 😭

There are 18 matches in the season, running from Jan 15th to May 13th. I plan to play every match but may miss some due to holidays or illness. Last year our team finished 4th out of 9 teams in the league.

I scored a goal!!! :D
Tonight our captain asked me to play up front for the first ten minutes. At one point our midfielder got possession, I ran up the middle behind the defenders, and received a perfect pass about 40ft out from goal. The keeper came running at me but I just managed to tap the ball into the right side of the net.
