Alcohol makes me feel horrible, but I need extra social pressure to quit. This market resolves to YES if I don't drink alcohol during 2025.
no drinking at all besides having a sip of other people's alcohol
if I consume >0.5 drinks in a single night due to this exception, this market resolves to NO
if I want to change the rules for this challenge, I'll resolve this market as NO and start another one
Context on me:
I've already successfully completed a year without alcohol before.
I currently usually have ~2 drinks per month.
@redcat I have this exception too and made it, since I'm very curious about how things taste, and don't think there is any harm in having a sip. It also allows going to a wine tasting event with friends and sharing most of the experience except getting drunk
@redcat Don't intend on having any sips in the short term - I just added this clause in case I change my mind in the future. 1 year is a long time! Trying to predict in advance about ways I might fail this and not being able to have any sips might be one
I've used it a few times. I'm still trying to test to see if it is a placebo, but I think I found a drink that I can test with so I can properly do a controlled experiment. I can report back once I'm satisfied with my experience.
I am a featherweight, and alcohol affects me greatly.
The drink I had in the previous comment gave me a notable headache while on a full stomach and with a glass of water with it.
I had the same drink recently on an empty stomach and had no water with it. I took a Zbiotic before the drink. No headache.
I'm satisfied to say that it seems to work for me. Not a placebo. Probably.
