There's food safe epoxy, if your stuff isn't safe, you can give it a coat of the food grade stuff on top.

I'm not sure it's safe but even if it isn't, is it the kind of unsafe that leads to regrets?

Have you considered using silicone? As far as I know it's pretty safe, and shouldn't be more difficult to use

I think the regret would come from using the epoxy and later learning that it is unsafe/unhealthy either through more in-depth research or talking to more people about it (e.g. people who come over for a dinner party and see the bowl)

just get a new bowl!

The bowl was a gift from a colleague. Not sure where/if I can buy a replacement. Colleague does not know I broke the bowl so would prefer not to ask them
