There is speculation about the Labour government doing a deal with the EU to introduce an EU Youth Mobility Visa so people under 30 can travel freely between the EU and the UK to live and work.

I am 27 years old (born in February 1997), so will only be eligible for this if it is agree and implemented in the next two years.

Background

Resolution Criteria

This market will resolve YES if:

• An EU-UK Youth Mobility Scheme is both agreed upon AND implemented before February 2027 (when the market creator turns 30)

• The scheme allows UK citizens under 30 to live and work in EU countries

This market will resolve NO if:

• No EU-UK Youth Mobility Scheme is implemented before February 2027

• A scheme is implemented but has age restrictions that would exclude someone born in February 1997

• A scheme is agreed upon but not implemented before February 2027

Considerations

• The implementation timeline for international agreements can be lengthy, often taking months or years from initial agreement to actual implementation

• Any agreement would likely require approval from both UK Parliament and EU member states
