Will my newly bought Zowie EC1-DW survive without defects for five years?

In the past, I consistently needed to get a new mouse every two to three years. I have tried many different brands, most of them gaming-oriented. All of them, no matter which brand and - sadly - price range have failed me after some time with either ghost clicks, no clicks or some sort of scroll wheel trouble. I am honestly not expecting this one to be different, but I have read rave reviews concerning their longevity, so who knows?

I am not affiliated in any way with them and I will not bet here. I will resolve this market as yes if no defect occurs in the next five years, and no immediately if I have confirmed a defect, no matter the type. I will ignore expected trouble from wear and tear like reduced battery capacity. I will resolve N/A in the unexpected case that the mouse breaks from some accident, like me spilling something on it or the ceiling collapsing on it. This has never happened to my previous mice, though, of which there have been at least ten.

That depends on how heavily you use it. If you are a game or programmer, then the bets are lowered significantly.

@BettyRubble I am both... I am not playing FPSs anymore, though, which probably caused the most wear.

For work I used to have a dedicated mouse, but now use the Zowie mouse for that, too.

So, yeah, the workload is immense for a mouse.

i had a 2014 zowie fk-1 and it was still working 10yrs later. ima vote yes
