This market is part of a series of markets inspired by a scroll through Rumble.com. They will be resolved to PROB based on the spirit of the hypothesis (somewhat vibes-based), using evidence posted in comments and own research if necessary.
I will not be trading in those markets.
If you want to discuss this series of markets in general there is a Discord thread.

@ShadowyZephyr wait, bills to allow police departments to employ illegal immigrants? With non-negligible support?
@CodeandSolder Illegal immigrant and non-citizen are not the same thing. You can reside in the US without being a citizen, you just need a green card.
And yes, non-citizen police officers. Although the Illinois bill hasn't passed yet.

@ShadowyZephyr Illegals is in the title though, what's actually happening is normal and boring. I'll count just legal non-citizens for partial points if it becomes widespread enough to count as "rolling out"
@CodeandSolder Yeah - I think the implication is that illegals can slip through their radar. Thinking about it more I doubt that is true.
I bet YES looking at the title on the screenshot you put, not the title of the actual market.
@ShadowyZephyr illegally applying to work as a police officer as an illegal immigrant does not sound like something people would attempt, though I do feel that way about a significant portion of things people do in fact attempt.
I will resolve to >50% if there are multiple reports of an illegal immigrant employed as a police officer arresting somebody though.
The "illegals" part comes from the thumbnail.
@ShadowyZephyr actually, with DACA in play that is getting a bit closer to true, apart from the firearm requirement part: https://apnews.com/article/fact-check-immigration-illinois-daca-boebert-desantis-968521926686
