On January 4th, 2023 Term Sheet, a well-known financial newsletter by Fortune (typically regarding PE/VC) posted a series of predictions regarding the calendar year 2023.

One of these predictions was the following:

This past year ushered in worrying increases in both cyber and physical security—e.g., mass shootings, attacks. In response to this new reality and an ever-changing threat landscape, more and more boards will demand companies document their security readiness plans and emergency preparedness training for both cyber and physical threats. Through the process, these two critically important facets of safety and security will finally begin to break down their silos and come together to create advanced situational awareness as organizations are increasingly held responsible for the well-being of customers, visitors, and employees online and in person.” —Peter George, CEO, Evolv Technology

Idk how to measure this but I don't really see much evidence for it?

I worked at a mid sized public company in the 2010s which had a decently sized room for physical security and a handbook for employees . We did annual fire drills and compliance including cyber security.

I imagine they revise these annually, but to resolve YES would it need to dramatically change? Like, telling employees how to fortify their home, or somehow go physically rescue customers in the event of EMP attack? I’m inclined to bet heavily NO but might just be having a failure of imagination here.
