Juan Soto, a star outfielder who recently signed with the New York Mets, has been remarkably durable throughout his MLB career. In 2024, he experienced a minor setback with left forearm inflammation but no structural damage was found. His injury history has been relatively minimal, making him one of the more reliable everyday players in baseball.
Resolution Criteria This market will resolve to YES if Juan Soto spends more than 15 cumulative days on the MLB injured list (IL) during the 2025 regular season. The count includes:
Time spent on both 10-day and 60-day IL
Multiple IL stints that add up to more than 15 days
Only official IL placements during the 2025 regular season (not including spring training or postseason)
The market will resolve to NO if:
Soto spends 15 or fewer days on the IL
Soto is not placed on the IL at all during the 2025 regular season
Considerations
IL placements for COVID-19 related issues will count toward the 15-day total
If Soto is traded to another team during the 2025 season, IL stints with any team will count toward the total
Personal leave or bereavement list appearances do not count as IL time
