The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) is currently engaged in pre-application activities with Duke regarding a future ESP that would be at the Belews Creek, NC site for a small modular light water reactor (SMR) rated at approximately 300MWe gross electrical output. Duke Energy Belews Creek | NRC.gov

This question is asking if Duke energy will choose the BWRX-300 as the reactor plant at the Belews Creek site. This will resolve to NO if a different design is chosen for that site, or if the application/pre-application process is terminated and Duke withdraws plans to build any nuclear plant at this site. I will resolve this to YES if any Duke energy official communications specify the intent to build the GE-Hitachi Nuclear Energy (GEH) BWRX-300 plant GEH BWRX-300 | NRC.gov (most likely from the NRC public meetings/application process document submittals).

I plan on extending the close date as needed until a design is chosen or the application/pre-application process is terminated.
