Why not try it but give say 25% to those who are greedy and then cap total additions?

maybe 95% of current bounty to person, and then double otherwise, and that's stable at a manageable number

 Instead of donating all the Mana to the first greedy person, you donate 25% of the current bounty to each greedy person, and the number of mana in the bounty can continue to rise or shrink depending on what percentage of ppl are greedy

starts at 10M. you can comment "I am greedy" or "double it, and give it to the next person". You can only comment once. If you double it, the bounty doubles. If you keep it, you get the bounty money.
