Currently partners need to get 20 traders in a given market before it pays a bonus and then only get paid for each subsequent trader (21st and up) rather than all traders. Why not pay for the first 20 also once achieved, with markets that don’t receive at least 20 traders receiving no bonus? Especially since the first 20 traders are the key to a well calibrated market.

This can resolve YES. Partners do get paid for the first 20 traders on a market (retroactively, after they reach 20). There was a back & forth in the comment section because BTE didn't believe it, but it's been confirmed a few times over the past few months (& confirmed in the comments section here by James).
(At the time some confusion was caused by the bug where partner earnings got slashed, plus the fact that the notifications are very misleading)
@JamesGrugett Interesting. I kinda assumed it wasn’t because despite my total traders I was lagging so far behind the other partners and couldn’t quite figure out why. Would be cool to see on each market somewhere how much was earned like in the market details or something so it’s easier to keep track of how much each market generates toward the total.

@JamesGrugett I am not convinced this is working as you say. Just got the 20th unique trader on this market I created yesterday which means it should say $2.00 bonus, not $0.30 because that is only three of the 20 traders it is claimed above should be paid out as soon as this event happens on every market created since the beginning of the program. Would this resolve YES if they reduced the threshold to 15 or 10 traders, without changing anything else? they wouldn't literally be payed for the first 20, but they would be payed for some of the first 20
