Resolution criteria

This market resolves to YES if U.S. Senator John Fetterman votes in favor of the confirmation of a United States Senate-confirmed nominee to succeed Pam Bondi as U.S. Attorney General. The market resolves to NO if he votes against the confirmation or does not cast a vote.

The official Senate vote tally as recorded on Senate.gov or Congress.gov will be used as the authoritative source. If multiple confirmation votes occur for the same nominee, the final roll call vote on the nomination will be used for resolution. If no nominee to succeed Pam Bondi is put to a full Senate confirmation vote, this market will resolve to NO (or N/A if the position is filled by means that do not involve a confirmation vote, such as a recess appointment).

Background

Pam Bondi, who served as U.S. Attorney General in the second Trump administration, was confirmed by the Senate on February 4, 2025, in a 54–46 vote. Senator John Fetterman (D-Pa.) was the only Democrat to vote in favor of her confirmation.

As of April 2, 2026, President Trump has announced his decision to remove Pam Bondi from the position of Attorney General. Future votes on her successor will be monitored to determine Senator Fetterman's position. Senator Fetterman has established a voting record of occasionally breaking with his party to support Republican-led initiatives and cabinet nominees, most notably casting a decisive committee vote in March 2026 to advance the nomination of Markwayne Mullin for Secretary of Homeland Security.
