Resolution Criteria
The market resolves YES if Georgia defeats Alabama in the SEC Championship Game on Saturday, December 6, 2025, at 4 p.m. ET on ABC at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta. The market resolves NO if Alabama wins. Resolution will be determined by the final score as reported by official NCAA sources and major sports networks covering the game.
Background
This is a rematch of a regular season game on September 27, where Alabama defeated Georgia 24–21. This will be the fourth time Georgia and Alabama played for an SEC Championship, with the Crimson Tide winning each of the previous four meetings in 2012, 2018, 2021, and 2023. Georgia enters with an 11–1 record and 7–1 SEC record, while Alabama is 10–2 overall with a 7–1 SEC record. Georgia is ranked No. 3 and Alabama No. 10 in the College Football Playoff rankings. The winner is guaranteed a top four spot and a first-round bye in the College Football Playoff; if Georgia loses, its 11-1 regular season record should still be enough to get them a home playoff game.
Considerations
Numbers suggest a one-score game with modest totals indoors, with Georgia's consistency and late-season form fueling the narrow favorite tag, while Alabama's head-to-head win and explosive-play profile argue for another tight finish. Georgia's lone blemish is the 3-point loss to Alabama in September, and third-down efficiency on both sides of the ball was the hinge in the first meeting.
