RAGBRAI is an annual event where thousands of riders bike across the state of Iowa. RAGBRAI LI will be held July 20-27, 2024.

I am asking how many total riders will register for One-Day and Weeklong passes by May 15, 2024. Event Registrations (one-day passes purchased during the event) and unofficial riders will not be counted.

Context:

•As of November 15, 2021, greater involvement with Iowa state agencies on safety policies enabled RAGBRAI to significantly increase the possible number of riders. Prior to that, there was a cap of 10,000 weeklong passes; there is currently no upper limit.

•Last year, for its fiftieth anniversary, the official numbers state that 20,000 riders registered for the full week, and 9,000 registered for single day passes. This is the current record.

•At 424 miles in length, with 18,741 feet of climb, RAGBRAI LI is the 8th shortest route in its history but sets the record for most elevation.
