YES

YES = X/Twitter rolls out a user identity verification feature that enables users to display their verified human status on their profiles by market close.

To qualify, the feature must:

  • be available to a significant portion of the users - e.g. for all users from a particular country.

  • verify using Government issued id or a proxy that requires Government issued id to create (e.g. a bank account)

  • include some front-end element in the username/profile page that allows the verified user to show whether they are a verified human.

The feature may or may not be a paid feature and/or part of a premium subscription.

I believe this implementation satisfies the resolution criteria. Keeping the market open for a few days if anyone objects to resolving this YES.

? Already done.

@PierceWetter

I saw this update.

Is there any front end element that allows users to show that they have been verified?

@PierceWetter Apparently it does, I think this meets all the conditions of the resolution criteria. I will wait for a few more days if anyone has any objections to resolving this YES.

@Akzzz123 I think the little emoji of a person with a * is it.

@PierceWetter I'm sorry I didn't quite understand what you are saying.

@Akzzz123 I'v been getting a little icon of a person with a star next to it since I verified. Though I don't have it now? Hmmm.... It let me edit my profile and keep my blue tick. Going through it again...

predictedYES

@PierceWetter I saw it after clicking on one of the profiles. It wasn't immediately visible but after clicking the blue check it showed that profile was verified by a Government issued id.
