This market will be decided by whichever party wins control of the Senate (including the tie-breaking vote of the vice president) and which party wins the overall nationwide popular vote for Senate candidates. For the control of the Senate question, this market will be resolved based on the party affiliation of the President pro tempore of the Senate. For the popular vote, official statistics regarding the nationwide, popular vote that are published by the House of Representatives will be used. This market may be resolved earlier if there is a clear agreement on both the question of control and the popular vote by all of the following media outlets.
New York Times
Washington Post
CNN
The AP

Should a Senator be elected by a runoff election, only the votes from the runoff will be counted.
