There are reports that on May 17th, a group of people in German football will come out as gay (e.g. https://news.yahoo.com/former-footballer-urban-group-coming-095814146.html) in a joint effort. There seem to be no specifics on whether this will include high-profile active players, which would be a significant step as no (male) 1. Bundesliga player has so far come out during his active career. Thomas Hitzlsperger did so after retiring.
If there is any ambiguity about if the outing should count as "comes out as gay / bi / queer", I'll tend to resolve YES if it is widely seen as such (e. g. in the media).
