Resolution Criteria
This market resolves based on the fastest mile time I run during the current track season. Resolution will be determined using the official race results from sanctioned track meets.
If I run a mile faster than a listed threshold, that market resolves YES. For example, if I run a 5:43.24 mile, the markets for Sub 6:00 and Sub 5:45 would resolve YES.
Any markets with thresholds faster than my best time will remain open until either:
I run a faster time that meets the threshold, or
the track season ends.
If I run a time exactly equal to a threshold (for example 5:40.00 for a Sub 5:40 market), that market does not resolve YES based on that race. The time must be strictly faster than the threshold.
Context
I am a high school boy, and I have never run track and field before. Last semester I ran cross country. I haven't ever ran a mile time trial. My 2 mile time trial in November was 12:25. I am a little out of shape so my 2 mile time trial on February 9th was 12:42. I have lots of friends on my team, I run around 20 miles a week, and I track is not my top extracurricular.
Race schedule and results
Most of the schedule isn't finalized, but I will give the dates of upcoming races and my times for past races here:
