@IsaacLinn The MAGA movement seems to suggest that supporting the enemies of the U.S. in destroying or occupying U.S. allies somehow makes America weaker (cross that out) stronger. However, I believe America’s global strength is primarily due to its allies.

If the U.S. had supported in wording Hitler in the 1940s and pressured England to cede territories to Germany in exchange for temporary peace, the result wouldn't have been a stronger America. Instead, it would have been a major mistake, risking a more powerful Nazi Germany and possibly losing the war to both Germany and Japan.

@IsaacLinn Totalitarian ideologies rely on the same mental trick to make people hate the enemies of the national leader and to justify why war is necessary (national superiority).
