Resolution criteria

The 2026 T20 World Cup Final will be held in Ahmedabad on March 8, 2026, between India and New Zealand. The Player of the Match award will be determined by the ICC match officials and announced immediately after the final concludes. Resolution will be based on the official ICC announcement, which can be verified at ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2026.

Background

India is aiming to become the first host team to win the T20 World Cup, the first team to defend the title and the first to win three T20 world titles. Finn Allen scored the fastest century in T20 World Cup history and became the first player to score a century in the T20 World Cup knockouts in the semi-final. Sanju Samson won the Player of the Match Award in the semi-final for his knock of 89 runs.
