Resolution Criteria

• YES if the Switch 2 can send video directly to a monitor via DP Alt Mode over its USB-C port without using the proprietary Nintendo dock.

• NO if the Switch 2 only outputs video through Nintendo’s proprietary dock (i.e., standard DP Alt Mode does not work).

This market will be resolved as soon as I either:

1. Test it myself by plugging my Switch 2 into a USB-C monitor (with DP Alt Mode support) and seeing if it displays video without the dock, or

2. Find credible technical evidence (e.g., a teardown, official specifications, or trusted review) confirming whether standard DP Alt Mode works or does not work.
