Background

Stop Killing Games is a European Citizens’ Initiative aimed at preventing video-game publishers from rendering titles unplayable after sale—such as by shutting down servers or removing functionality—and requiring them to preserve access for consumers. To compel the European Commission to legislate on this issue, the initiative must collect 1,000,000 valid signatures by July 31, 2025.
