N/A

My current mathematical prowess: I have no prior experience with mathematical competitions, though I was able to attain a score of 800/800 in my SAT Math section and a score of 7/7 in my IB Math AA HL course.

For the next six months or so of my precollege gap year, I will be learning and practicing contest level mathematics for ~4 hours per day on average using resources like Art of Problem Solving, which will sum to ~500 hours of total preparation time.

The market will resolve YES if I am able to complete one set of (post 2010) past questions and achieve a score that will qualify me for the USAMO for that year before 01/09/2023, otherwise the market will resolve NO.

If I change my mind and quits in the middle of this challenge or cannot consistently meet the ~4 hour daily average claimed here, the market will be resolved N/A.

I decided to resolve this market as N/A as I no longer deem studying Olympiad Mathematics as being the highest-yield way of spending my time, and as a result will not be meeting the stated conditions.

I have already graduated high school and does not currently reside in the US; qualifying for the USAMO is meant as a fun challenge for me and this market mainly serves to motivate me. Am I wildly overambitious and have utterly unrealistic goals? Maybe. But that's where the fun in life comes from! :)

@embeddedagent I suppose a piece of information that might potentially be useful for evaluating my chances is the fact that it took me around 8 months of self-studying in order to earn a Silver Medal at the International Biology Olympiad, make of that what you will.
