Today, Cloudflare released this blog post: https://web.archive.org/web/20260127140520/https://blog.cloudflare.com/serverless-matrix-homeserver-workers/
which contained claims like:
Matrix on Workers runs in production today, handling real encrypted communications for our team. It is fast, it is cheap, and it is arguably one of the most secure ways to deploy a homeserver today.
Following some backlash on Mastodon, they removed some of these claims to "clarify that the use case described here is a proof of concept and a personal project", in both the blog post and in the corresponding GitHub repository.
Will they take down the blog post and/or repository entirely, by the time this market closes (2026-04-01)? Temporary takedowns (eg. 404 error on specifically this page) or turning the repository private count, but outages and redirects don't.
